Ingredients: zoverax, ice, sleep, fresh air
Instructions: i have been plagued with coldsores since the age of 5 or 6. They put me through absolute hell and the only positive thing i can take away from each coldsore is how much they make me appreciate life. Everytime i\'m having a bad hair or face day i always think of my latest coldsore and it makes me feel much better! I get huge sores in the corner of my lower lips which really complicates eating, speaking and breathing. My friends always call me dramatic when i refuse to leave the house until my sore has healed, but i really am inable to face the world with something so disgusting on my face. I have found in the past that fresh air helps especially if it\'s cold. During fall or spring i\'ll go out on my patio and let the air get at the bugger for as long as possible, it really dries it up and the fresh air lifts my spirits a little. I\'ve always found it constructive to keep my mind off my coldsore ( which i know is a task) but i try to watch something intriguing on tv, planet earth, for example, which won\'t leave me feeling envious of people without coldsores haha I also drink a boat load of water and ice my sore when ever it starts to hurt. Fortunately i\'ve never had a sore last more than 3 days, which i contribute to the fact that i spend every waking moment tending to it haha If i do, however, have to leave the house, i tend to coat my lips with gloss to distract from the blister on my face. I have read that herpe cell can stay dormant in any gloss, tooth brush or tooth paste that you used during an outbreak, so just a little warning that you have to throw out anything that came in contact with your face!! Also be consider of ur family members and make sure u don\'t use a towel or tooth paste that they will be using!! I wouldn\'t wish a coldsore on my worst enemy , let alone my family haha SO ya i pretty much hibernate, relax, drink water, NO SALTY FOODS, no touching the coldsore, icing when ever i get the chance, trying to think positively about the situation to avoid stress. I can\'t get over how better i feel after having heard all your stories, it\'s really hard to go through a coldsore alone haha good luck guys!!!
Here is what one reader had to say:
"After receiving 3 bites within 1 inch of each other on my hand, and one being between my fingers, my hand started to swell almost immediately. I was not able to apply anything until the following day. I am of the opinion 'break open the pustules". I sterilized a pin. Cleaned the area with soap and water and then with alcohol. After puncturing the pustule with the pin I gently pulled the skin to enlarge the pin hole slightly. Then using a cotton tip or Q-Tip I applied alcohol. I kept expressing the liquid for a few minutes and then reapplying the alcohol. I would rub the alcohol into the pustule opening that I created with the pin. BTW the itching was relieved instantly. After doing this several times and there was no longer any fluid coming from the opening I applied Calamine Lotion. Because of the location of the bites I could not apply a covering. But nonetheless this seems to work well for me. I hope others can benefit from my experience." - Joe Colao
Even grass fed animals contain transfats. And the National Academy of Science concluded quite some time ago, that the only safe intake of transfats is zero… no transfats are healthy or safe for humans to consume. So really, there is not only no need for humans to consume animals, but there are a plethora of health concerns that come along with consuming animals. And why murder someone who wants to live when there is zero need for it, plus it harms us anyway? Not to mention that any type of animal agriculture is highly unsustainable and detrimental to the planet.
Of course anyone eating tons of plant foods is going to feel better than if they didn’t, but that doesn’t make the bad things they are eating (animal products) good by any means.
I do agree that we need fats. Fats are amazing for our overall health and our skin! But obviously healthy fats and lower intake of omega-6. So I’m not one of those vegans who are all about being oil free when olive oil has been shown to have tremendous health benefits and help you absorb nutrients from plant foods when eaten on salads and such.
Also, I’ve been reading that the lutien in raw tomatoes isn’t absorbed by our bodies unless eaten with some fat, so when eaten with olive oil, our bodies are shown to absorb the lutein from raw tomatoes.
